STITCHERY GATHERING – ‘FRIENDS IN STITCHES’
Australian Friends are working together to create a Narrative Embroidery display of panels depicting the history of Quakers in Australia. It is modelled on the British Quaker Tapestry.

Perth Friends are working on two embroidered panels at present and a third is to be started soon. These – and more – will depict Western Australian Quaker history. Individuals in the group work on samplers in order to learn the stitches. Gatherings are held monthly on second Saturday-of-the-month afternoon 2pm – 4.30pm) at the Mount Lawley Quaker Meeting House.

You can make donations to support the project via the Quakers Australia office at
PO Box 556, KENMORE, QLD 4069.
Cheques should be made out to Australia Yearly Meeting (Tapestry Fund).
